We live in Eugene, Oregon, we see doctors at the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. I would be interested to see if anyone else is a patient at Casey Eye Institute.

I was conceived, born, and reared in Northern Idaho USA and diagnosed in Virginia USA. What are your ancestral heritages? Mine are Scot-Irish, English, French, Scandinavian--seemingly all previously connected to the ancient celts when their civilization stretched from the northern most Scandinavian areas down through areas of Turkey & Greece.
Coats is supposedly not hereditary, but the research is scanty at best. I have always wondered if there is more of a genetic link than what they presently know; but since the disease is rather rare with very little research, one can only wonder.
