We were hoping that Keith would have good news at his check up, but we were not so lucky. He has so much fluid behind the retina that does not seem to be reabsorbing so we are headed back down to Boston to have Dr. Jay Duker preform the viterectomy on his eye in 2 weeks. We were hoping to avoid this as it is more invasive and more potential complications. I would like to hear from anyone who has had this surgery and how were the outcomes? What is the recovery like? Did things improve after this surgery? Help, I am so scared for my little boy. I hate taking him for surgeries as he begs me every time to just stop that he'd rather be blind and loose his eye then to continue.
Thank you, Keith's mom
