We are one week post op and things are looking really good. My son had laser therapy and Avastin and steroid injections. The Dr. said that it looks as if all the leaking blood vessels have stopped. There is no evidence of retinal detachment. We will be seen again in 2 months for follow up. We were advised to wear eye protection at all times. My son was able to see a little better on the eye exam letters!

Shayes, That is great news! I would still agree that you should get polycarbonate lenses to protect his non- Coats' eye. You can never be to careful with your child's vision. Good luck, and keep us informed!
