Hi, we live in East Sussex in England. I have a daughter aged 7 who has Coats' Disease in her right eye. (she was diagnosed at the age of 3 in 2004) She had surgery for the squint in her Coats' eye in March 2006 but has now developed the "silver eye" where fluid is building up in her lens. She copes extremely well with her blind eye and seems to lead a very normal life. As her parent, I often have to close one eye to remind myself how her vision is. I would love to hear from anyone in the UK who is suffering from this terrible disease as there is such little information available to us. Thank you so much to Jacobs Parents for providing this valuable website.
